Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 2026
1. Local Network Access (NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES)
DirectorCast requires the NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES permission (on Android 13+) exclusively to discover and connect to secondary camera nodes on your local Wi-Fi network. This permission is strictly used to enable zero-latency, IP-to-IP local video streaming between the Host and Camera Nodes. We do not use this permission to determine your physical location, we do not map your local network, and no local network data is ever transmitted to our servers or any third party.
2. Camera and Microphone Access
The app requires Camera and Microphone permissions to capture live video and audio for your broadcast production. This media is processed locally on your devices. Audio and video data is never uploaded to our servers. It is only transmitted externally if you, the user, explicitly configure and initiate a Custom RTMP stream to a third-party broadcasting platform (e.g., YouTube, Twitch).
3. Account Data and Deletion
DirectorCast uses Firebase Authentication to manage your studio profile. You can permanently delete your account, along with all associated profile data and cloud configurations, at any time directly within the app by navigating to the Profile Tab > Account Details > Delete Account.
